1960 - 1969

  • The Escorts: Four piece teenage London band.
  • Expresso Combo: Five piece London band including Dave Holland vocalist.
  • The Five Statesmen: London band with the Paul Cave Agency.
  • Rey Anton and The Peppermint Men: Parlophone artist. London gigs.
  • The John Barry Seven: Tour with Brenda Lee and Marty Wilde (UK and Europe) Tour with Billy Fury (UK). JB7 gigs around the UK.
  • The Alan Bown Set: Co-wrote a catalogue of songs with Alan Bown, included on five albums and nine singles. Signed to Pye, MGM, Deram and Island Records. Featured vocalists, Jess Roden followed by Robert Palmer. Appeared on all the major TV and radio shows including 'Ready Steady Go', 'Top of the Pops', etc. (see The Alan Bown Set - Before and Beyond available on Amazon).

1970 - 1979

  • Robbins Music: In-house songwriting contract.
  • Bronco: Recorded tracks on the Island album, 'Country Home'.
  • Alan Bown: Alan Bown solo singles. Sessions at CBS Studios, London.
  • Starry Eyed and Laughing: Recorded tracks on the album 'Thought Talk'.
  • A Band Called O/The O Band: Toured UK and Europe. Recorded two albums; 'Within Reach' at Olympic Studio, London and 'The Knife' at Scorpio Studio London, both for United Artists . Released live EP.
  • Gerry Rafferty: Tour of UK and Europe, promoting 'Baker Street' and the album 'City to City'.
  • Raphael Ravenscroft: Recorded on the solo album, 'Her Father Didn't Like Me Anyway' at The Workhouse Studio, London.
  • Carole Grimes band: London gigs.
  • Magna Carta: Recorded all tracks on the album 'No Truth in the Rumour' at Marcus Studio, London.
  • Joan Jett: Recorded tracks at Chappell Studio, London for single release; 'You Don't Own Me'/'I Love Rock 'n' Roll' (included on the Joan Jett compilation album).
  • Reg Laws Band: UA Recording Artist. London gigs.
  • Maggie Ryder: Recorded demos at Marcus Studio, London.
  • Cal Batchelor: Canadian blues artist. Recorded all tracks on debut album with Ronnie Lane's mobile studio.
  • Charlie Dore's Back Pocket (band): BBC In Concert, live broadcast at The Paris Theatre, London.
  • Ronnie Lane Band: BBC Radio One shows in Manchester and London.

1980 - 1989

  • Charlie Dore band: Appeared on BBC TV 'So It Goes', 'Old Grey Whistle Test' and 'Musicladen' German TV (Bremen). Demos recorded at Magritte Studio. Promotional tours of 'Pilot of the Airwaves' throughout the UK.
  • Jack Green band: RCA Artist and former member of T-Rex. Major tour of USA including the Whisky A-Go-Go Los Angeles and The Bottom Line, New York.
  • Lee Kosmin band: Parlophone recording artist. London promo gigs.
  • John Otway: Band and duo gigs. Demos and single recorded at Pace Studio, Milton Keynes.
  • Reynard the Fox: Studio project. Tracks recorded at Falconer Studio Camden, London. Showcased at The London Hippodrome,1984.
  • John Coghlan Band: (formerly of Status Quo). Recorded demos at Regents Park Studio, London.
  • Kim Steele: American solo artist. Recorded demos at Abbey Sound Studios, London.
  • The Multichord for All Keyboards by Jeff Bannister: Tuition book published by Music Sales UK & USA.
  • Los Angeles: Six month solo club residency in West Hollywood.

1990 - 1999

  • The Southlanders: 'Heard it Through the Grapevine' UK Theatre tour.
  • Rick Lee's Breakers: (formerly of Ten Year's After). Recorded studio album, 'Milan'. London gigs.
  • The Oh Boy Show: With Lord Rockingham's XI on The Canberra, Mediterranean cruise with, Jess Conrad, Craig Douglas and The Vernons.
  • Solid Gold Rock 'n' Roll Show 1996, 1997 and 1999: Major UK tours with the house band 'Rockin' Horse' backing John Leyton, Eden Kane and The Vernons. Marty Wilde and Joe Brown headlined the show.

2000 - 2009

  • The Max: Function band.
  • Solid Gold Rock 'n' Roll Show 2004: House band 'Rockin' Horse' backing Freddy Cannon with Robbie Vee, Craig Douglas and John Leyton. Showaddywaddy headlined the show.
  • The Alan Bown Set - Before and Beyond: Biography written in close collaboration with Alan Bown, the definitive story of his career including numerous photos from the era. Available on Amazon Kindle.

2010 -

  • The Swinging Blue Jeans: Guest appearances on the Sensational Sixties Experience Tour 20013/14 with Herman's Hermits, Marmalade, Steve Ellis' Love Affair and Chris Farlowe. SSE Tour 2014/15 with Herman's Hermits, Dave Berry, The Union Gap, The Ivy League, Chris Farlowe and The New Amen Corner. Concerts in Europe and Scandinavia.
  • Jeff continues as a member of The Swinging Blue Jeans and is featured on the new SBJ album, 'Let it Rock'.
